Contents
A problem during and after pandemics is preserving safety while maintaining interpersonal engagement. This presentation will discuss how an understanding of mental models can help to create instructional and informational materials to address such challenges. The presenter will also explain how such approaches can contribute value to organizations and enhance usability and product development processes associated public health.

Biography
Kirk St.Amant is a Professor and the Eunice C. Williamson Endowed Chair of Technical Communication at Louisiana Tech University (USA) and is the Director of the University's Center for Health and Medical Communication (CHMC). He is also an Adjunct Professor of International Health and Medical Communication with the University of Limerick (Ireland) and a Research Fellow and Affiliated Faculty Member in Usability and Design with the University of Strasbourg (France).
