The S1000D specification is an international specification for creation, management and publication of complex technical documentation. The latest version 6 consists of approx. 3700 A4 pages.  The specification is mandatory for many defence and aerospace projects, but is also increasingly being used in the civil sector. As the S1000D is quite complex, it is mainly suitable for large documentation projects with many project partners. The presentation gives a short and concise overview of the structure, the content and usage of the specification and provides initial insights into the standardization method.

Biography

Pia Grubitz berät seit 1987 im Bereich Content Management, zuerst angestellt bei Software-Unternehmen, seit 1995 selbstständig.  Ihr Schwerpunkt liegt in den Bereichen Beratung, Training und Stylesheeterstellung für CMS, FrameMaker, Schema ST4, XML, XSL-FO, AECMA/ASD S1000D und Arbortext Editor.  Ihre Fachbereiche erstrecken sich dabei von Energieversorgung, Luft- und Raumfahrt, Maschinenbau und Haushaltsgüter bis hin zur Automobilindustrie.

Ihr Büro ist in Ulm, ihr Einsatz europaweit.

Pia Grubitz is consultant in the field of content management since 1987, initially as employee at software companies and since 1995 as a freelancer.  She specializes in consulting, training and stylesheet creation for CMS, FrameMaker, Schema ST4, XML, XSL-FO, AECMA/ASD S1000D and Arbortext Editor.  Her areas of expertise range from energy supply, aerospace, mechanical engineering and household goods to the automotive industry.
