Learn how Google teaches tech writing to software engineers and people in engineering-adjacent roles (such as product managers).
Although the course is designed for engineers looking to ramp up their tech writing skills, this workshop is also recommended for seasoned technical writers who want to train engineers in their own organization on tech writing basics (Google's tech writing courses are free to use).
Technical Writing 1 covers the critical basics of technical writing such as identifying your audience, sentence length, active voice vs. passive voice, using lists to structure your content, and more.
No prior knowledge is required. Note that a Google account is required to access the exercise materials we'll use during the course.
