What is an Unconference?

An Unconference is a unique type of conference that is driven and organized by the attendees themselves. Unlike traditional conferences with a fixed agenda and designated speakers, an Unconference allows attendees to choose the topics and shape the event’s flow. Here are some key features of an Unconference:

  • Attendee-Driven: Attendees suggest and create the topics and sessions. Simply pin your idea to the Unconference board!
  • Flexible Format: There is no set agenda or predetermined speakers. Topics are decided on-site, allowing for spontaneity.
  • Interactive Discussions: The focus is on open discussions and active engagement rather than formal lectures and presentations.
  • Informal Atmosphere: Unconferences take place in a relaxed and casual setting, promoting free exchange of ideas and opinions.
  • Personal Responsibility: Attendees are both listeners and potential moderators or discussion leaders.

An Unconference offers a flexible and participatory alternative to the tcworld conference, harnessing the creativity and knowledge of all attendees.
