Benjamin Russer is an engineer in automotive and engine technology. During his studies, he already focused on mechatronics and software development. After graduating from the University of Stuttgart, he worked for several years in the development of CAD/CAM systems and automation in mechanical engineering. Since 2015, he has been working at TRUMPF in the Technical Documentation department. Like many areas, Technical Documentation is undergoing increasing digital transformation. For a long time now, the products have no longer been just printed operating manuals and spare parts catalogs. They now include a wide range of digital publications, which in turn are embedded into other company products. At the same time, the information needs of the editorial team are growing, so that external systems have to be connected or managed for the entire company. Against the background of this increasing complexity of IT architecture and systems, new fields of tasks are emerging for the editorial department. His activities there include, among other things, the development of internal tools, system administration, domain architect, and key user for contact with the IT department.
