With all the current hype around AI for writing, translation, and content creation, one powerful capability often receives far less attention: using AI to build the exact tools you need to support your daily work.
This tutorial expands on a presentation given at tcworld conference 2023, where I showed how the tools included in Microsoft 365 can be used to create and automate a simple but effective, searchable terminology solution for an entire company. Since then, that idea has been taken much further – by deliberately “vibe coding” with AI.
The session demonstrates how AI was used to explore ideas, solve seemingly insurmountable problems, and gradually evolve this original approach into a full terminology ecosystem: improved terminology management and lookup, plus powerful terminology checking integrated directly into the CMS and other content creation tools – using Microsoft 365 tools throughout.
Without diving into every technical detail, the tutorial focuses on what worked, what didn’t, and lessons learned along the way. The goal is to inspire participants to confidently use AI to fill skill gaps, experiment boldly, and develop solutions tailored to their own requirements.
