tekom goes "Gender Equality in Technical Communication" and Darwin Information Typing Architecture (DITA) were the two major hot topics at the Arenas on November 14 and 15. tekom fair visitors were able to take a seat and listen to keynotes on the topics as well as 20- to 30-minute short presentations by experts. Among the topics on November 14: gender-appropriate language, including user experience design and gender equality in the workplace. On November 15, attendees learned, among other things, how to use a publication engine to convert DITA topics into various output formats, how to generate output formats effortlessly and efficiently, and even how to combine them with artificial intelligence for text creation.
