Our specialist moderator
We are delighted that we have been able to engage Lawson Stapleton to moderate the Technology Days. He will guide visitors through the program on October 29 and lead the panel discussions.
Lawson has worked in the language and technology industry for over a decade in the APAC, EMEA and American markets. During this period, Lawson has consulted and advised for some of the worlds largest corporations and government institutions on a range of affairs including but not limited to localization, cultural appropriation and language technology.
Lawson was the go to expert in Australia for communication techniques and relations regarding Australia’s indigenous people. For example, he created the first on demand communication link for banks, governments, hospitals and legal systems to access indigenous languages. This also put him in as a trusted advisor to the government departments and the courts of South Australia regarding culture and language engagement.
Lawson has a real passion for language, technology, history and culture. He holds professional certification in Mandarin, a diploma in business and, a degree focusing on the effects of colonisation and indigenous languages and has commenced his studies focusing on an MIR.
