Matthias Kurrus has a technical background in mechanical engineering and has also worked for ten years as the head of an agency in the field of graphic and design. The client base mainly consisted of industrial customers, which led to a transition to SICK AG in 2009. He initially worked in marketing and PIM and then established an internal department for technical documentation.

Key milestones in his career include studying at the Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences, the introduction of a CMS in 2012, as well as the implementation of tools for terminology management and processes for translation services. Matthias Kurrus is actively involved in project and committee work at ZVEI (Chairman of the Technical Documentation Working Group), DKE (82079 series), VDMA, and tekom (Advisory Board for Law and Standards). He currently works as Head of Technical Documentation at SICK AG.
