Vita
Marc Mittag has led translate5 since 2011—an open, data-sovereign enterprise software solution for AI-powered translation workflows. His goal is to help organizations use AI productively while strengthening their independence: retaining control of their data, choosing their AI models and shaping their own workflows. Previously, he worked in IT at Transline from 2000 to 2009, serving as Head of Translation Technology from 2005. He sees open source and collaborative partnerships as key foundations for the long-term freedom to shape and evolve technology.
Outside work, Marc is a husband and father of three; the family also includes a four-legged companion. He finds balance through yoga and daily meditation.
