Vita

Dr. Hans Weber studied linguistics, computer science, and philosophy at the JWG University of Frankfurt am Main until 1989. He then earned his Ph.D. in computer science from the Hamburg AI Laboratory in 1997. Until 2003, he was involved in industry projects and research at FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg, Department of Artificial Intelligence. Since 2003, Dr. Hans Weber has been the managing director of portamis Software GmbH, focusing primarily on XML and automatic layout. Since 2015, his responsibilities have also included AI applications for document engineering.
