The ISO/ISO/IEEE 2651x series of standards continues to evolve. The latest standard in the series, ISO/IEC 26516 for instructional videos, has been in development for around 3 years. 26516 sets out requirements for the effective planning, design and development of instructional videos used to explain software and physical products.

In our presentation, we will present the current status and show the applicability of the standard in practice. Key topics will be highlighted and shown how the standard specifications can be implemented in practice. One focus will be on the presentation of best practices in the application of the interaction principles.

The draft standard DIS (Draft International Standard) is planned for June 2025. Until then, the participation of many is possible and very welcome.
