Small software animations are effective elements for showing and explaining software steps and processes. When the concept gets paired with a design style known as Simplified User Interface (SUI), these little moving graphics become a powerful element for enhancing tooltips, feature highlights, help articles, and short instructions.
Join this workshop to learn more about the benefits of creating and using simplified (SUI) graphics, and then use various tools and techniques to turn these simplified screenshots into moving, impactful animations that can be used across many languages and versions.

This is a hands-on workshop in which attendees will work on their own laptops and create their own animated graphics.  The workshop will use Camtasia as its animation tool, but the skills learned are easily transferable to other animation software.

Takeaways

After a short introduction to the SUI-principle, attendees will be guided step by step through the animation process and will create their own simplified software animation clips.

Prior knowledge

The session is aimed at beginners. Some previous experience with animation or video is helpful, but not required.
