Hallo,

mein Name ist Jörg Wisor, ich bin 58 Jahre alt und wohne mit meinen drei Damen in Leinfelden-Echterdingen. Ich arbeite seit 2010 im Bereich der Technischen Kommunikation - erst in einem KMU mit Fokus auf Produktmarketing und -kommunikation und seit 2022 als technischer Redaktuer in der Roto Frank Fenster- und Türtechnologie GmbH. Die vorhergehenden 25 Jahre habe ich bei der T-COM bzw. deren Vorgägner, der Deutschen Bundespost, verbracht.

3D war schon immer ein Interessengebiet von mir und 2010 habe ich die Gelegenheit ergriffen, diese Thema im Rahmen meiner beruflichen Tätigkeiten aufzubauen. Zu Beginn war das Ziel, die 3D Daten aus der Konstruktion so aufzubereiten, das diese die klassische Fotografie ersetzen können. Dies habe ich mit der Software Deep Exploration der Firma Right Hemisphere gemacht.

2011 bin ich zur Open Source Software Blender gewechselt - dort konnet ich erstmals die importierten Modellen aktiv bearbeiten und passende Umgebungen konstruieren. Blender ist ein so leistungsfähiges Programm, das ich immer wieder erstaunt bin, das so etwas als freie Software verfügbar ist - seit über 20 Jahren. Leider ist das Thema 3D Visualisierung sehr komplex und man weiß häufig nicht wo man beginnen soll. Aber mit den richtigen Einstellungen und Strategien geling auch dort der Start und letztendlich kann die Software bedeutend mehr als jede kommerzielle (meist recht kostspiele) Visualisierungstool.

Ich habe mit Blender sowohl hunderte Produktrenderings für Katalog, Datenblatt und Webseite erstellt, als auch komplett eigene Produkte konstruiert, weil für diese keine 3D CAD Daten existieren. Und obwohl ich das Progamm schon gut kenne, gibt es noch unzählige Funktionen und Konzepte, die es noch zu kennen lohnt.

Hello, my name is Jörg Wisor, I am 58 years old and live with my three ladies in Leinfelden-Echterdingen. I have been working in the field of technical communication since 2010 - first in an SME with a focus on product marketing and communication and since 2022 as a technical writer at Roto Frank Fenster- und Türtechnologie GmbH. I spent the previous 25 years at T-COM or its predecessor, the Deutsche Bundespost.

3D has always been an area of interest of mine and in 2010 I took the opportunity to build up this topic in the context of my professional activities. At the beginning, the goal was to prepare the 3D data from the design in such a way that it could replace classic photography. I did this with the Deep Exploration software from Right Hemisphere.

In 2011 I switched to the open source software Blender - there I was able to actively edit the imported models and construct suitable environments for the first time. Blender is such a powerful program that I'm always amazed that something like this is available as free software - for over 20 years. Unfortunately, the topic of 3D visualization is very complex and you often don't know where to start. But with the right settings and strategies, the start is also successful there and ultimately the software can do significantly more than any commercial (usually quite costly) visualization tool.

I have used Blender to create hundreds of product renderings for catalogs, data sheets and websites, as well as completely designed my own products, because there is no 3D CAD data for them. And although I already know the program well, there are still countless functions and concepts that are still worth knowing.
