Being expected since a long time ago, the Machinery Regulation has published in June 2023. Starting 42 months later, the new law will conduct manufacturing and distributing of machinery within the EU for a long time. Labelled as a revision the new rules and regulations bring up in fact a different legal framework with a lot of challenges even for the technical writing. In particular, the digital format, which is now legalized for B2B machinery, requires a well thought threw concept and strategy as some conditions must be fulfilled before the instructions for use can be published in an electronic format. The lecture will provide background information, address open issues, and give practical advice.
Takeaways
The audience may take a first, brief overview about the new law and gets an impression about the challenges which must be handled till the Machinery Regulation will apply. In particular aspects of the “digitalized” instructions for use in view of the Machinery Regulation will be discussed.
