Contents
The Steering Committee Chair and the Conveners of the working groups “Development”, “Tools – Validation – Content” and “Standards” present the developments of iiRDS in 2022. In July, two new projects started: the development of an iiRDS Validation Tool and the improvement of terminology e.g. by harmonizing definitions of classes, instances, and properties of the iiRDS Schema. The Working Group Conveners are reporting on the status and results of these projects.

Mark Schubert is a technical consultant at parson and supports clients regarding authoring tools and publishing solutions. DITA, DocBook, and other document type definitions are part of his daily routine. As a former technical writer, he knows XML-based authoring firsthand. Mark has been an acting member of iiRDS working groups Development and Tools from the start. As an iiRDS Ambassador he is participating in working groups of the Industrial Ontologies Foundry IOF.

Michael Fritz ist promovierter Medienwissenschaftler und Betriebswirt mit Schwerpunkt Marketing. Er arbeitete für verschiedene Verbände, z.B. als Leiter eines Instituts für lebenslanges Lernen. Seit 1996 ist er CEO des tekom Deutschland e.V. und seit 2013 auch CEO der tekom Europe. Er ist auch Geschäftsführer der tcworld GmbH.

Dr. Achim Steinacker bringt fundierte Expertise im Aufbau von Metadatenmodellen für Content-Delivery und Knowledge Graphs für Produktmodelle mit. Als Principal Consultant bei Empolis Information Management GmbH fördert er den Einsatz semantischer Technologien und iiRDS in GenAI-Systemen sowie Agentic-AI-Projekten.
Dr. Achim Steinacker has extensive experience in building metadata models in the context of content delivery projects and the use of knowledge graphs for building product models. As Principal Consultant at Empolis Information Management GmbH, he supports the use of semantic technologies and iiRDS in current GenAI based systems and Agentic AIprojects.

Ulrike Parson ist Gründerin und Vorstand der parson AG, einem Dienstleistungsunternehmen für Technische Kommunikation mit Hauptsitz in Hamburg. Sie arbeitet vorrangig in der Beratung in ihren Spezialgebieten intelligente Informationen, Content-Strategie und Digitalisierung von Content-Prozessen. Ulrike ist Mitglied des iiRDS Steering Committees.

She works primarily as a consultant in her specialist areas of intelligent information, content strategy and the digitalization of content processes.
