tcworld conference 2024: Important information about your participation

Your Ticket

  • Please make sure that you have paid your invoice before the start of the conference: If we have not received payment, you will unfortunately not be admitted.
  • If you have received a registration code, please log into ‘my conference tool’ on https://tcworldconference.tekom.de/. You must then redeem the code in the “Tickets” area.
  • Important: If your registration code has not been redeemed, this will complicate your on-site admission.
  • To log into the conference tool, use your access data for ‘my tekom’ or ‘my conference tool’.
  • Your E-ticket can be viewed and downloaded in ‘my conference tool’.
  • With your on-site ticket, you can also participate in the conference online at the same time.
  • After logging in, you have access to the online showrooms and the online NetworkingLounge.

Registration and Admission

  • You received your ticket via email. You can also download it from ‘my conference tool’.
  • Please have your printed-out or digital ticket ready to scan at the entrance. You will receive your conference pass there.
  • Please take note of the signage on site. 
  • Please wear your conference pass in a visible area during the entire tcworld conference.

Problem-Free Procedure at Admission

We have taken various measures to allow admission to proceed without long waiting times. 

  • There is an option to register the evening before, November 4, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
  • On November 5, admission starts at 7:30 AM. All attendees who already have a conference pass (for example, if you registered the evening before) can use the Fast Lane.
  • Why not start the day with a coffee at Café tekom? Experience Café tekom as a place for knowledge exchange, where the regional groups and state associations are also offering their consultation hours.

Program, Recording and Certificates

  • A current overview of all presentations can be found in the Online Program.
  • In the conference planner, you can find the ICS floor plan for the ground floor (fair and lunch) and for the upper floor (presentations rooms for the professional conference).
  • New: The conference planner is now also available in the mobile version. 
  • Recordings of the lectures, exhibitor presentations and tutorials will be online the next day and can be called up for 3 months after the conference. The recordings of the lectures and tutorials can be called up via the program, the recordings of the exhibitor presentations via the exhibitor showrooms.
  • The recordings of the presentations will be available for download from November 19, 2024 until February 18, 2025. You will receive broadcast lectures and exhibitor presentations in the course of the following day.
  • After the presentations you have the option of rating them via QR code or via the presentation directly in the online program.
  • Confirmation of participation is available for all attendees. All sessions bookmarked in advance will be listed in the confirmation.
  • Presentation slides can also be downloaded via the program – provided the speakers have made these available.

Early Bird Coffee

Coffee, tea and water are available in Hall C1.1.2 starting at 7:30 AM.

Lunch

On Tuesday and Wednesday, lunch will be offered at Foyer East Entrance from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, and on Thursday from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM. Look forward to a relaxed meal without long waiting times. There is a vegan dish.

Evening Events

Exhibitor stand parties and a lounge evening on Tuesday as well as the tekom Allstar Band at the party on Wednesday evening await you. The party ticket costs €35 for fair visitors, including flat-rate foods and drinks. There will also be interesting new city tours in the evening as part of the supporting program.

  • You can pay in cash at the ICS ticket office.
  • November 4, 2024 – Miniaturwelten Stuttgart: The exhibition shows impressive model railroads, lively cityscapes and scenarios from all over the world. (German)
  • November 5, 2024 – tekom crew - prepare for take-off: A guided tour of Stuttgart Airport (German and English)
  • November 6, 2024 – Guided tour of the Schwanen-Bräu brewery including tasting (German)

New This Year:

OpenLab – Unconference

An unconference is a type of conference that is organized and designed by the participants themselves. Our Unconference in hall C1.1.2 offers you the opportunity to exchange ideas and gain new perspectives in an informal setting

Guided Tour by the tekom AG Young Professionals

As part of the Guided Tour, students and technical editors in their first years of work will present the highlights of the tekom fair. The Guided Tour of the tekom AG Young Professionals is in German and takes place every day from 11:00 AM to 11:20 AM. Meeting point is 10:50 AM at the conference office.

Carpooling

In cooperation with RideBee, we have set up a carpooling platform. Via our website you can easily post requests and offers to travel together to our tcworld conference in Stuttgart.

Conference Bags

This year you can put together the contents of the conference bags yourself in the foyer of the ICS.

Live Communication

  • In the online NetworkingLounge, you can network with all conference attendees. Simply log into ‘my conference tool’.
  • We will keep you continuously informed during the conference via the tekom X (formerly Twitter) channel.
  • Also feel free to take part in live communication via X (formerly Twitter) with the hashtags #tekom (German) and #tcworld (English)

Workshops

  • If there are still places available in workshops, you will find pin boards at the conference office where you can register. Online registration is no longer possible.
  • Please save a spot quickly for workshops. There is a limited number of workshop spots.
  • If you need a laptop for the workshop, please consult the program in advance to check whether your laptop for the workshop must meet special technical requirements.

Job Advertisements

  • Find out about current job vacancies on the job walls in Hall C2.
  • Are you looking for employees yourself? Then you have the opportunity to hand in one-page job advertisements at the tekom stand or in the conference office in order to present them on the job wall.

Practical Matters

  • Coat check (even for luggage) is available free of charge in the basement.
  • Use our feedback system and evaluate the sessions. We want to continually improve our conference!
  • Open WiFi is available free of charge. Log into “tekom-for-free”.
  • In the online NetworkingLounge, you can network with all conference attendees. To do so, simply log into ‘my conference tool’ at https://jahrestagung.tekom.de.
  • Coffee stations with a selection of free beverages can be found in Halls C1.1.2 and C2.

Online Participation

  • Log in to ‘my conference tool’.
  • Join sessions spontaneously during the presentation time. Call up the details page of the contribution in the program, where you will see the link "Enter virtual room" shortly before the session begins (10 minutes before).
  • Feedback: You can submit your evaluation using the QR code shown at the end of a lecture or via the detail page of the respective presentation.
  • You have online access to the NetworkingLounge and the exhibitors' showrooms.

Via the Dashboard…

  • You can see future, current and past sessions that you have bookmarked.
  • You can access session recordings the next day.
  • You can download the slides after sessions as soon as the speakers have put them up.
  • You can call up the FAQ.
  • You can download your confirmation of participation after the conference.
